David has the reputation for being a lively and entertaining speaker.
He lectures throughout the country to a large number of audiences, including National Trust Associations, R.S.P.B. Groups, Camera Clubs and Wildlife Trusts, and he has been invited to speak at several major conferences.
All his lectures are based on his book titles and are lavishly illustrated with over 100 stunning photographs. David has an ability to enthuse an audience with his amusing and exciting style of presentation whilst the quality of photographs ensures that no one leaves disappointed.

Some clubs choose to open the event to the general public enabling them to cover their costs and promote their society.
Natural Quarry
David first visited the quarry in the depths of winter and admits that at first it seemed a most unlikely place to find much wildlife. However as the year unfolded he was delighted with the wealth of colourful and interesting subjects that surrounded him.
The most spectacular birds included nesting peregrines, ravens, little ringed plovers and wheatears, to mention only a few.

Natural Focus
Natural Focus is a lecture that demonstrates wildlife photography in a new and exciting way. It is designed for everyone and makes photographing the natural world easy and fun, even for a complete amateur. It is a lecture that is full of surprises and looks at beautiful landscapes as well as tiny insects and flowers. He demonstrates photographing a toad in a dustbin lid - and then ends with capturing a kingfisher in mid-dive!
The American Project
This lecture is the result of a commission David undertook, but he also took the opportunity to explore some of the more remote corners, including Alaska, Florida Everglades, Grand Canyon, to mention a few! His photography captures not only the scenery but also the wildlife he encountered on the project.
The interest in the lecture is enhanced by the challenge of discovering how David works in locations so far away from home and with unfamiliar animals and plants.
He has achieved some amazing pictures of enthralling prairie dogs and chipmunks - of cold-blooded alligators and rattlesnakes - of vibrant flowers and dramatic birds.
Safari
Over the years David has lead safari holidays to various African locations and has shared with his clients countless unforgettable moments whilst enjoying the bountiful wildlife. David shares many of the exciting, spectacular and amusing anecdotes. He gives the impression that you are visiting the Ngorongoro Crater or Serengeti Plain with him - that you are sitting in the safari vehicle trying to count great flocks of flamingoes or watching cheetah cubs trying to catch a hare - that you are giggling over the antics of mongooses or marveling at the scenery.
David’s photographs capture the very essence of a safari trip and to enjoy this lecture is like enjoying a safari holiday for yourself.
The Kingfisher
New for the coming season!
David is working on re-creating the lecture that so many people remember from 25 years ago when his book 'The Kingfisher' was first published. It tells the story of one of our most beautiful and spectacular birds and shows every aspect of this dramatic bird’s life.
David was the first person to photograph the kingfisher underground in the nest, diving for fish and grabbing a fish underwater. He will add to those original images with new photographs that have not yet been viewed.
